Breakfast and snacks are sweeter in Mountain view subdivision of Bacolod City. This subdivision is home to an awesome neighborhood bakery. But you won’t find any musty old pandesals or atrocious creations like the “double body” breads here – Firehook Boulangerie Et Patisserie bakery cooks up fabulous artisan breads!

Firehook Boulangerie Et Patisserie is found on Mount Kanlaon street inside Mountain View subdivision. It’s the big square looking building with many stones studded on the outside and it has a big blue window and door.

The bakery is divided into two areas. One area is where the bakers make cakes and the rest of the space is for the breads, cookies and pastries. There’s coffee and other drinks that you can order too.
There’s a few tables in the place – the best place to sit is by the big blue window where you can sit and watch the cars go by.

Firehook had just opened its doors for the day when we visited. We were able to see the wide array of breads, cookies and pastries virtually untouched. We placed our orders, whipped out our camera and set to work looking at the various goodies Firehook had to offer.
The cinnamon rolls looked and smelled so good! These rolls have a light flaky crust and they are drizzled with a sugar glaze and shaved almonds.

Firehook’s Blueberry Danishes look very tempting! Blueberry filling is placed inside a little pocket of flaky crust.

Chocolate croissants are plump, crisp and have the chocolate oozing out of them!

Of course, what would a bakery be without Filipino style breads? Firehook Boulangerie et Patisserie has ensaymadas and pandesal. These Spanish influenced breads are a must for every Filipino breakfast.

Stuffed pandesals are always tasty. Firehook Boulangerie has these stuffed Tuna Pandesals that add a savory element to this bread.

Here’s our top 3 favourites at Firehook Boulangerie Et Patisserie
1.) Ham and Cheese Docket – We love ham and cheese and having that combination inside a croissant is one of our favourite things to eat! The flaky crust balances out the salty taste of the cheese and the ham.

2. Mango Pinwheel – Mango cream inside a sugar glazed croissant? Sign us up! This pretty dessert looks like a bright yellow flower. Very tasty and colorful

3. Blueberry Danish – A crisp shell contains a delicious blueberry filling.
