The ultimate Sandwich (TUS) serves really good sausage sandwiches in Bacolod City. This amazing restaurant is open only on Saturdays and Sundays from 3pm to 9pm. TUS The Ultimate Sandwich is a hidden, hole in the wall restaurant and is definitely something you must try when you’re in Bacolod city.
TUS The ultimate sandwich is on a busy school street during the weekdays. During the weekends the street is nice and empty. TUS The ultimate sandwich breaks out their tables and chairs and the customers dine on the road.
The inside of TUS is dark and narrow. All the cooking is done at the far end of the restaurant.
There are only three kinds of sandwiches on the menu at TUS The Ultimate Sandwich. They have Chili Con Sausage Sandwich, Spiced Chicken Sandwich and Cheesy Krainer Sub.
The bread at TUS The Ultimate Sandwich is a custom made baguette that they order from a local bakery. It is a very nice kind of bread that is customized to fit their sausages.
We ordered everything on the menu! It was quite a novel experience to dine on the street with these premium sandwiches. The sandwiches come with hand cut potato fries spiced with oregano.
The sausages were perfect! Each one was a work of art. We first tried the Chili Con Sausage Sandwich. The sausages are placed in the toasted baguette, served with some lettuce and then topped with chili, onions and pickle relish.
The fries are drizzled with a cheese sauce and sprinkled with some salt and oregano. Very good. The chili isn’t sweet at all.
The Cheesy Krainer Sub is topped with mozzarella cheese, red and green bell peppers, and cheese sauce. The cheese is then torched with a blowtorch to make it melt and give it a nice crispy crust.
Fans of Chicken sandwiches will love TUS The Ultimate Sandwich! They have a nice Spiced chicken sandwich topped with caramelized onions, cheese sauce and served on lettuce.
If you’re not in the mood for a sandwich you can instead have the sausages and fries. You have the sausages paired with a cheese sauce, herbs and the crispy fries. Tasty!
