Tummy tickle – Great food in a surprising home-based restaurant.

Tummy tickle is a surprising home converted into a restaurant in Bacolod city . The place might look rough but the food is awesome!

Tummy tickle is located at 25-05 Josefina Street, Eroreco Subdivision, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental Philippines. They’re open from Mondays to Saturdays 11am-9pm. and on Sundays 12 noon to 8pm. Telephone number 09772159118 or 09171440494

Tummy tickle is just one easy ride if you’re taking a jeepney. Just ride the Eroreco Central Market Jeep and get off at Eroreco, Malaga street. Tummy tickle is just a short walk from there.

There are about five tables in Tummy tickle. You can sit in the garage area or out in the “garden” area. There’s nothing fancy but it works.

The main chef and owner of Tummy Tickle is Jay Lucasan. Jay is a retired U.S. Army veteran who has seen tours of Afghanistan. When Jay retired he went to work at a restaurant in Alaska and eventually moved back to Bacolod city.

Tummy Tickle’s menu is American-inspired with a little bit of Filipino and Asian flavors thrown in.

We ordered a lot of the things on Tummy Tickle’s menu!

Tummy tickle has Pork Belly Tacos. They use Filipino style pork belly with a spicy mayonnaise sauce. Cilantro and garnishings of lemon slices top off the meal. Squeeze some lemon onto the tacos for a citrus blast of flavor.

We discovered that the soft taco wrappers were made by JDL nachos, an awesome local taco producer. (article on them soon!)

If you like chinese sausage, try Tummy Tickle’s Chinese Chorizo sausage tacos a try! Fried chinese chorizo soft tacos with a spicy wasabi dip and a splash of lemon.

Tummy tickle has a lot of burgers on the menu so we tried their best sellers. The mushroom burger is a beef patty with melted cheese and fried mushrooms on top.

Tummy tickle’s house burger is one glorious, delicious mess. You have their beef burger with cheese, two strips of bacon topped with a green chili sauce.

Tummy tickle also has special sandwiches and dishes like this cheesesteak sandwich and fries. Just ask the chef what’s available.!

Our absolute favorite at Tummy tickle is their mongolian Beef bowl and grilled chicken hibachi bowl. The mongolian beef bowl is thin slices of beef with sesame seeds and its cooked in a sweetish sauce. You can order this ala carte too!

The Chicken hibachi bowl is grilled chicken with pineapple bits and a wasabi mayo sauce.. It has a nice tropical flavor that adds a bit of variety to your meal.
