CulinariaBcd: An Awesome Cooking School, Restaurant and mini Food event center in Bacolod City.

CulinariaBcd is our latest food find and our newest happy place in Bacolod City!

CulinariaBCD is a cooking school and restaurant offering short courses and training for busy people. They’re also open during the week for Take out and deliveries only. On Fridays and Saturdays people can come and dine in at their store.

This months theme (October) is smoked meat. You can dine in at CulinariaBcd during Fridays and Saturdays or message them during the weekdays to have your food delivered via Maxim! Check out the menu below! Remember, you can have this delivered all through the month of October!

Here’s our experience dining in at CulinariaBcd!

CulinariaBCD has a very small dining space. There’s only three long tables and two small tables. There’s an airconditioned dining area and an outdoor dining area.

When we got there, the air was smoky because they were putting the finishing touches on the smoked meats! We asked permission to take photos and take a look!

The food had just come out, fresh from the smoker. But these meats were specially prepared. They were cooked Sous Vide for over 24 hours before being smoked! This method resulted in nice, moist and juicy meats.

What is Sous vide?

Sous vide, which means “under vacuum” in French, refers to the process of vacuum-sealing food in a bag, then cooking it to a very precise temperature in a water bath. This technique produces results that are impossible to achieve through any other cooking method.

Just look at these perfectly smoked chickens! They’re moist, nice and plump. They’ve been brined and smoked – Packed full of flavor.

Oh man, We’re really enjoying this month’s theme of Smoked Meat! Check out these porkchops! Ready to be sliced! We can’t wait to order already!

We ordered side dishes, a smoked meat platter and a porkchop. We decided to sit inside CulinariaBcd’s airconditioned dining room.

The meal came with an appetizer of spinach dip and flatbread. Very nice.

Our Smoked meat platter arrived! The smoked meat platter consisted of a smoked sausage, smoked chicken and smoked pork belly. We ordered some additional side dishes – buttered corn, Hasselback Potato and Mac and Cheese.

Oh man, that’s a lot of meat!

The meal also came with three sauces – all infused with that nice smoky flavor. They have a mustard bbq sauce, a Grandpa John sauce (Creamy) and a bourbon whisky sauce. Extremely good.

Everything was delicious! The meats were soft and juicy. The smoked flavor was absolutely perfect.

The side dishes were extremely good too. We had Mac and Cheese, which went very well with all the smoked meats.

As an additional side dish, we had a Hasselback potato. It’s a potato cut into fanlike slices and served with toppings. Our potato came with pepperoni slices and cheese! A very adequate side dish!

For dessert, we had their house special Banana trifle. It was such a treat with whipped cream, nuts, Bananas and delicious caramel sauce.

CulinariaBcd is also a cooking school! You can have short courses designed to teach you the basic skills or if you want to concentrate on making a specific dish you can do that too.

You can opt to learn to cook using their kitchen or cook in your house!
