There’s something new and delicious in Bacolod City, Philippines! It’s Hotbox Kitchen and they’re serving delicious burgers and the best hotdogs and fish sandwiches in the city!
They’ve opened up shop on CL Montelibano street, beside the University of Saint La Salle. They have only a few items on their menu which is a good thing – this means that they are hyper focused on the quality of their product.
My burger of choice when we’re at Hotbox kitchen is their Cheeseburger. It tastes oddly familiar – that’s because the owner wanted to do an upscale take of something familiar – he took the inspiration from the McDonald’s cheeseburger.
We just love Hotbox’s cheeseburger and their fries! The seasoned fries are a bit too salty (for me) but hey, it gets us to buy more beer so it all works out. Lol
If you love crispy onion then don’t pass up on Hotbox Kitchen’s Maui onion burger. It’s a combination of crispy onions and caramelized onions on their patty. Delicious and it has a multitude of flavors and textures. It’s something quite different.
The tastiest hotdog sandwiches in Bacolod City can be found in Hotbox Kitchen. Don’t pass up on the Chili Dog. The chili is freshly made and that’s what makes it super yummy!
The Chicago dog is a hotdog originating from the city of Chicago, Illinois. Hotbox’s version has a lot of onions and pickles. It’s pretty good but not as good as their Chili dogs.
New on their menu is the blackened fish sandwich – a delicious seared fish sandwich that’s made of red snapper fillet and served with a tartar sauce. Excellent. The fish has a delicious “crust” and is definitely more flavorful than any fish sandwich here in Bacolod City.
Our current favorite at Hotbox Kitchen Bacolod are their awesome Loco Moco Bowls! They are absolutely loaded with stuff! You get an angus beef patty, rice, wakame seaweed, pickled ginger, furikake, fried mushrooms and crispy onions!
The roast beef loco moco is absolutely decadent. Slices of roast beef with a delicious, rich gravy.
Try out Hotbox today. They’re open from 12 noon until 8pm at night, Monday to Saturday at CL Montelibano street, Bacolod City beside the University of Saint La Salle.
