Craving for Indian Food? Indian Foods Bacolod City is a new open air restaurant that serves cheap and affordable Indian food.
Indian Foods Bacolod City is located in Brgy Villamonte, BS Aquino drive. You will easily recognize the restaurant because of its distinct white walls and red lettering.
The restaurant is open air and it is cool and breezy. This nice open air design ensures that there is a lot of circulating air. The seats and tables are reasonably far apart.
The food is very cheap and affordable. Most of it is Indian street food so the tastes are quite familiar but just exotic enough to warrant a visit for those who want to try Indian food for the first time.
Highly recommended for those on their first visit is the Allo Parantha which is a bread made with potato (40 php) and for those who want something cheap and affordable, the Indian burger (35 php) is super nice with a deep fried bun and a fried, spiced potato patty inside.
Another popular Indian street food are the samosas. These are triangular pockets of dough stuffed with potato and vegetables. The samosas have spices in the crust so each bite is flavorful.
The only meat on the menu is chicken! Indian Foods Bacolod City has Chicken Masala and Buttered chicken!
The most popular dish is Chicken biryani – 150 php. You can enjoy a fried chicken coated in Indian spices on top a bed of steaming hot biryani rice.
For those who want a bit of everything, try the Indian Thali platter. For 350 php it has a little bit of everything. It has biryani rice, Chicken Masala, Buttered chicken, Allo poori (potato in tomato sauce) and Chole poori (garbanzo)
The Indian Thali comes with a lot of different Indian Breads. You have your rotis, chapati..
The most delicious for us is the Papad. It’s a paper-thin dough with plenty of spices and deep fried until it is super crispy and crunchy.
If you come by at 4pm, Indian Foods Bacolod City is now serving grilled chicken Tikka and Malai tikka. Highly recommended.
The chicken Tikka is so flavorful and tender. It is marinated in yogurt beforehand. You can chose to have it with rice or with two chapatis.
Mattar paneer, also known as matar paneer, muttar paneer, and mutter paneer is a vegetarian North Indian dish and Punjabi dish consisting of peas and paneer (Indian Cottage cheese) in a tomato based sauce, spiced with garam masala. Very nice.
Malai Chicken Tikka is chicken marinated in cream (malai in Hindi). It’s creamy and you can make a sort of wrap with it with the chapatis. Super good.
