There’s a “hidden” pizza place in Talisay City, Negros Occidental that only students know about. Every afternoon students pile into tricycles to reach Remy’s Food Haus – a student tambayan that serves cheap but great pizza. Possibly the best pizza in the whole of Talisay City.

6115 Talisay, Negros Occidental
The menu at Remy’s Food Haus is just the same with most other student places. You have the ever-present shakes, frappes, nacho fries with cheese and so on.

There are a hundred other places serving the same exact thing and yet what is amazing about Ruby’s Food Haus that it is a bit far from the Talisay schools and yet students actually make the effort to come and eat there.
Students are among the pickiest and hardest to please customers. They have a limited budget and they want cheap but good food.
At Remy’s food haus – they come for the pizza.

The pizza prices are cheap – prices start at 65 php for a small personal plate to just 170 php for a large sized pizza.
We started with Remy Food Haus’s Meat overload pizza. When the pizza came out – we were so surprised! It was absolutely overflowing with pepperoni, bacon, and ham.

We learned that the owners make the crust themselves by hand. All the pizzas have a thin, crispy crust. Wow – this pizza is really good!
There’s also a bunch of other stuff that we tried. We tried their shakes.

We also tried their cheesy nacho fries which had real bacon bits and melted cheese (not quickmelt!)

Also on their menu is Siomai. Three pieces for 20 pesos.

This is their Bacon and mushroom pizza Priced at just 120 php it is every bit as yummy as the 170 peso pizzas.

We also took the time to snap a few photos of the happy customers. This group of students likes Remy’s food haus because of the friendly owners and the remoteness of the location. It feels like a secret place – a place where they can just be with friends.

These pair recommended the fishballs, tempura and kikiam. They told us they were definitely not on a date – they were doing homework. 😉

Come and visit Remy’s Food Haus whenever you are in Talisay City. The pizza is extremely good. We had a great time!
