Platos Cuisine Filipino – A delightful new restaurant has opened up on Alijis Road, Brgy Mansilingan. They serve classic Filipino dishes that appeal to diners of all ages.
Platos is located right beside the entrance of Robinson’s Supermarket Mansilingan so it’s very easy to spot.
Platos’ interior is beautifully designed. The plain white tables go so well with the geometric designs on their tiles and the nice earthy tones of the wooden beams. We felt very relaxed during our visit.

We ordered a lot of food – Since it was our first time here we asked the helpful staff to suggest menu items for us.
The dishes began arriving after a short wait.

The seafood fried rice had a nice golden color to it. It had plenty of Crab Sticks and squidballs. Tasty – quite a crowd pleasing dish.

We loved the scallops! They were very soft and tender – they easily slid off the shell and had a nice clean taste. I’m guessing that these are farmed scallops as they were all consistently large. Very nice.

The stuffed squid had plenty of garlic. It was quite ok. It could have been a lot cheaper.

“Bagnet” is deep fried pork belly and Platos has a nice Kare Kare bagnet – Crispy chunks of deep fried pork in a traditional Filipino peanut stew. Ask the server for extra bagoong.
It’s a little much for just one person to eat so we suggest sharing it to spread the love. 🙂

We enjoyed our stay at Platos Cuisine Filipino and we will be back soon to try more of their dishes on their menu.
We’re happy that people living in Mansilingan and the south side of Bacolod City can now go to Platos. Diners living in the area now don’t have to travel all the way to the city proper to find a good Filipino restaurant.
