Ado’s is a new restaurant that recently opened at the La Luz building along Lacson Street Barangay Mandalagan. They’ve got lots of tasty things to try. Their menu mostly has dishes that are popular with Filipinos so if you want a restaurant that has familiar, sure-to-please dishes – Ado’s got you covered.
One of their popular dishes is the traditional lengua. Ado’s version is Lengua in Mushroom sauce. Oyster and button mushrooms are the two kinds of mushrooms in the creamy brown sauce.

Charcoal grilled ribs in an asian soy-ginger marinade – That’s what Ado’s Grilled Spareribs are all about. They’re quite okay!

We ordered the Smoked house ribs and instead of mashed potatoes we opted for rice. It was quite a large portion. The meat was sweetish just the way Filipinos expect their baby back ribs to be.
We noticed that what we got was very different from what we saw in their Facebook photos of their Smoked House Ribs.
To quote Shakespeare, there was certainly “much ADO about nothing” because the staff seemed to have forgotten that our ribs were supposed to come with battered, deep fried onions.
The ribs were still good nevertheless, albeit a bit on the pricey side.

For a little light snack we had Calamari Fritos – fried, breaded squid with three kinds of dips: Tartar, aioli and native vinegar. It was pretty nice to have an assortment of dips to choose from for a little variety in flavors and tastes!

Try Ado’s! The Food is good and there is plenty of nice wines, beers and other drinks for you to try!
