JD Bakery Cafe is located at La Salle Avenue, sumbingco building beside the new Watsons in front of the University of Saint La Salle. It is open from 7am to 9pm daily.
Pro tip: Since this is a new place and people are flocking to it,the best time to go is actually early in the morning on a weekend to avoid the crowds!
JD Bakery Cafe Bacolod has a wide variety of dessert bars available. They specialize in dessert bars, and their selection is huge! Click on the slideshow below to flick through some of their selections.
We ordered a variety of JD Bakery Cafe Bacolod’s bars to try. These bars are reasonably priced and won’t break the bank!

We really enjoyed the Calamansi Chewies! The best-selling and highly recommended bar is the Peanut Choco Bar. It’s obvious since they have a big poster of it hanging in the cafe. It’s super delicious! It’s like eating a chocolate-covered bar of Hany (a sweet made with peanut and chocolate powder).
A good deal at 55 pesos is the Chicken Ala King. It is creamed corn and chicken served on toast. It’s a nice quick snack and appetizer.
Our friends kept recommending JD Bakery Cafe Bacolod’s chicken cordon bleu so we ordered it. It came with a nice sweet and spicy chili sauce that went very well with rice. It is one of their best sellers.
We also got their JD Bakery Cafe Bacolod’s fried chicken combo meals, which are very good.
The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned and fried. It was really good chicken, savory and delicious. The combinations were amazing and made perfect sense.
The first combination we tried was the fried chicken and callos. Callos is a dish made from tripe and is a popular comfort food. Who knew that the combination would work so well? Try it out if you’re a fan of callos.
If you want a salad, try the fried chicken and macaroni salad combination. The macaroni salad is a little fruity with pineapple chunks, and it is a nice combination too when paired with the fried chicken.
Another noodle dish that works well as a combo meal is the bihon guisado and fried chicken! Fried rice noodles with assorted vegetables work extremely well!
Another popular combination is the Pancit Palabok and fried chicken!
No matter what your taste, there is a combination that you will love at JD Bakery Cafe Bacolod.
While you’re here, you should also try JD Bakery Cafe Bacolod’s Baked Macaroni. It is a popular dish that is loved by many in Iloilo. The noodles are firm, and the sauce is slightly sweet but not overly sweet. It is one of JD Bakery Cafe’s best sellers.
For dessert, JD Bakery Cafe has a lot of options and one of their popular dishes is the Halo Halo. It is one of the best looking Halo Halos that we’ve seen!
We also got some of JD Bakery Cafe’s breads to take home. We tried the ube donut, which is a donut filled with ube jam. It was very nice and very sticky!
We are big fans of stuffed buns, so we were excited to try JD Bakery Cafe Bacolod’s chicken roll. It is a roll filled with chicken, vegetables, and unfortunately, raisins (we hate raisins, but some people love them). It is very tasty and perfect for a quick breakfast.
A bakery is not complete without Ensaymada so we also ordered a pillowy-soft one!
While we were in line, a fellow customer also suggested we get the pineapple bar!
So many people are asking us about our recommendations at JD Bakery Café Bacolod. Well, we absolutely love and highly recommend their awesome GARLIC biscocho! (Garlic toast)
Unlike regular biscocho, which are toasted slabs of thick toast that can be difficult to chew, these biscocho slices are thin and easy to bite into (and less messy too).
How do we describe the taste? Firstly, it’s not sweet at all! There’s just a very, very subtle hint of buttery sweetness combined with a slight garlic flavor. It’s an amazing and unexpected combination.
Plus, you can get a small pack for just 14 pesos! (if we’re not mistaken) So it’s not only delicious but also affordable.
After reading the ingredients on the back of the packet, I can deduce that the amazing flavor is due to mayonnaise, condensed milk , garlic and butter.
In conclusion, JD Bakery Cafe Bacolod is a great option for anyone looking for a delicious and affordable meal. The cafe has a wide variety of food to choose from, including cakes, bars, breads, and meals. The prices are very reasonable, and the food is always fresh and delicious. If you are looking for a new place to try in Bacolod, JD Bakery Cafe is definitely worth a visit.
