To ensure maximum freshness, V&W Bakery only prepares a limited quantity of their products each day, and they encourage customers to pre-order. If you want to dine in, you need to make a reservation as there’s only one table in the entire restaurant.

This review is about the dine in experience at V&W Bakery – it’s a rare glimpse into one of Bacolod’s most exclusive dining experiences.

V&W offers a delicious dine-in menu, but with only one table in the entire restaurant, it’s important to make a reservation ahead of time. Take note that this menu is different from their cakes and pastry menu!

V&W’s dining room is an absolute visual delight! The beautifully designed chairs and black and white color scheme make everything look incredibly clean and cheerful. The overall look is one of simple sophistication and modern elegance. The large windows let in a lot of natural light. It’s the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.

The must-try items on their menu are the Eggs Royale and Eggs Benedict, which are said to be the best in Bacolod. We actually discovered these dishes through Millie Kilayko’s post, which featured mouth-watering pictures and a vivid description that had us eager to try them out for ourselves.

When we arrived for our 9am breakfast reservation, we were pleasantly surprised to find that Victoria and William themselves were there, personally cooking our meal! It turns out that the dynamic duo makes everything from scratch and takes great care of their customers. They are not willing to delegate even a simple breakfast to their staff. Everything must be perfect for their customers!

We watched as they toasted the sourdough bread slices and prepared the English muffins for our orders of Eggs Benedict, Eggs Royale, and Grilled Cheese sourdough sandwiches. Vicky, one of the owners, shared with us how the bakery got started. They used to cook and prepare in Vicky’s mom’s house, making sourdough bread from scratch – a long and laborious process. They would accept orders, and soon, they were able to create a kitchen commissary which then became their reception and pick-up area. With their keen eye for quality and their customer-first motto, word of mouth quickly spread, and V&W began to build a devoted following and customer base.

When you dine in at V&W Bakery, you have to try their Eggs Benedict. It’s a classic breakfast dish consisting of a poached egg, ham or bacon, hollandaise sauce, and an English muffin. V&W’s breakfast menu features their specialty, Eggs Benedict, available in two variations: the “premium” Eggs Royale, made with smoked salmon, and the Classic Eggs Benedict, made with smoked Canadian bacon.

Despite its simplicity, Eggs Benedict is a delightful dish, with the key ingredient being the hollandaise sauce – a creamy and flavorful sauce made from eggs, butter, and lemon juice.

When we visited V&W for breakfast, we weren’t sure what to expect. We’d never tried Eggs Benedict before and typically don’t enjoy eggs for breakfast. But V&W’s attention to detail and personal touch made this breakfast unforgettable. Perfectly poached eggs were placed on top of freshly baked and toasted English muffins (made in-house by V&W!), and then topped with their excellent hollandaise sauce.

From the first bite, we were in heaven. The combination of the rich egg flavor with a hint of lemon from the hollandaise sauce was perfect. It was so good that we couldn’t get enough – it was addicting!

V&W’s first products were sourdough loaves, and they continue to showcase their beginnings by serving excellent grilled cheese sandwiches made with their delicious bread. The dine-in menu features two types of sandwiches: the classic Grilled Cheese Sourdough Sandwich and the Pastrami Grilled Cheese Sourdough Sandwich.

Both sandwiches are filling and flavorful, with the Pastrami Grilled Cheese being a standout with its blend of Gruyere and mozzarella cheeses and tasty pastrami. The sandwiches are so satisfying that even though you’ll want to keep eating them, you’ll eventually feel full and content.

We also tried V&W Bakery’s famous Baked goods! We started off with their premium Ensaymadas!

Ensaymada is a soft, fluffy bread that’s twisted into a spiral shape and topped with butter, sugar, and cheese. This is a popular Filipino dish.

V&W takes this a step further by having the most premium ensaymadas EVER! They have a wide selection of cheese Ensaymadas! Ensaymada with Queso de bola, Ensaymada with Cheddar and Ensaymada with Queso Viejo – Aged imported cheese!

Our personal absolute favorite is the most delectable one of all the ensaymadas… The premium truffle Jamon Ensaymada. You have the sharp flavor of cheese and the meaty flavor of Prosciutto de parma. And you actually get a full slice of rich, cured ham covering the entire ensaymada!

What a delectable treat. This is a very premium product that will be welcome at any party or gathering!

V&W Bakery’s menu also includes a crowd-favorite – their cheese rolls. According to Vicky, the ensaymada is a hit among those from Manila, while the cheese rolls are popular among the locals of Bacolod City. We noticed that although the two pastries are quite similar, the difference lies in the cheese – the ensaymada has cheese on top, while the cheese roll has it inside. Regardless, both treats are heavenly and have a soft and fluffy texture.

The cheese rolls are a delightful combination of light, airy pastry and a generous filling of cheese, topped with a light dusting of sugar. It’s no wonder that many locals from Bacolod consider V&W Bakery’s cheese rolls to be the best in town.
