Bess Kusina has a very interesting interior! The right side of the restaurant is divided into little booths with a top and bottom floor. This is super popular with younger people/barkadas as it is like having their own private space.

The main floor of Bess Kusina can seat many diners

If you can’t manage these stairs, there’s also outdoor seating and Bahay Kubo at Bess Kusina where you and your guests can sit and have a good time.

Here’s a tip when you dine at Bess Kusina – or at all Buffets! – come EARLY. You avoid the crowds and you have your pick of the food available.

Here’s what was available at Bess Kusina’s buffet during our visit. The menu changes every week so confirm with Bess Kusina via their Facebook page before your visit. Also, check if they’re having a buffet!

  1. Pancit

The pancit at Bess Kusina had plenty of meat, vegetables and the noodles were firm and not soggy! The flavor was just right, not too salty or sweet. We like our noodles to be chewy and not super soft so Bess Kusina’s Pancit was right up our alley.

2. Lechon Paksiw

A dish made by simmering Lechon in a vinegar based stew. There was plenty of meat and lechon skin. It was okay.

3. Buffalo Chicken

Surprisingly, the buffalo chicken at Bess Kusina was very good for a seafood restaurant. It had just the right amount of spiciness and a hint of sweetness. Delicious!

4. Chicken Skin
This appetizer of Crispy chicken skin is the perfect match for those having beer!

5. Kare Kare

Peanut sauce, breaded and fried pork and veggies! Add a nice dollop of shrimp paste (bagoong) and you’re set!

6. Garlic Shrimp

If you like shrimps there’s plenty of Garlic shrimp at Bess Kusina – the sauce makes the tender shrimp taste super good!

6. Baked Scallops

This is one of the popular items in Bess Kusina – baked Scallops with garlic! Tender and delicious!

7. Lumpia

Fried spring rolls and we added squid (calamares) rings and salted egg. Tasty!

These are traditional filipino sweets. Our favourite is the ube puto flan!

Remember, the buffet is not scheduled everyday so its better to get a giant bayanihan platter! If you just want to try what is available, regular days have ala carte menu items that are affordable and awesome!
