Here’s a great place in Bacolod if you’re looking for a quick Chinese food fix! We recommend you try Hong-Kee, a restaurant serving Hong Kong style dishes and awesome set meals!

The main draw of Hong-Kee Restaurant is their Value meals and especially their Combo meals. We tried them all!
The Value meal at Hong-Kee is already a pretty good deal.
For only 150 pesos you get your choice of meat (soy sauce chicken, pork char siu, roast pork belly, or Hainanese chicken). You also get garlic rice and half a soy egg plus a strand of steamed bok choy. The meal also comes with a little buchi filled with chocolate.
Amazing!
But the real deal in this restaurant is the 200 peso combo meal. You get TWO choices of meat. Any combination will do.
It is a super deal. Filled us right up!
There’s also other stuff on Hong-Kee’s menu. We decided to choose the favorite dishes that we usually order in a restaurant – Salt and Pepper Squid and Beef and Broccoli.
The waitress took our order for Beef and Broccoli and then conveniently forgot to mention that they were out of stock for Beef and Broccoli – so she gave us Broccoli with garlic sauce instead without telling us. We liked Broccoli so we didn’t mind the mix up.
The Salt and Pepper Squid was out of stock so we had to settle for Salt and Pepper Spareribs. We loved it! It was crispy and flavorful. There weren’t a lot of bones so everyone in our group enjoyed eating this dish.
Issues:
There were annoying flies inside the air-conditioned restaurant when we visited. The waitress assured us that they will get rid of the flies.
No service water. Oh well, since they’re on their soft opening they will hopefully be able to secure service water for their guests.
Overall, we liked this place and we hope the issues will be ironed out when we return for our next visit. We feel confident in recommending this place for you – our readers since the food is actually great value and tasty!
Hong Kee may not be as polished as other well-established Chinese restaurants in Bacolod but what we tried was pretty good and shows promise and plenty of room to grow and improve.
If you can look past these issues, you will find a gem of a place for Chinese food. The taste is not as polished as the well-established Chinese restaurants here in Bacolod City but what they have on the menu is good enough for a quick fix.
Hong-Kee is located at Unit 110, Ani Building, Buri Road, Brgy. Mandalagan 6100 Bacolod CIty, Philippines. They’re right beside Romantic Baboy Bacolod.
