Kurvada Cafe is a beautiful cafe that offers an awesome scenic view in the mountains of Don Salvador Benedicto. This cafe should definitely be on your places to visit whenever you’re in the DSB area.
Kurvada Cafe has huge, long windows. You can simply pull up a stool and sit along the windows enjoying a spectacular view of the mountainside while having a cup of coffee. Far off in the distance you can see the Malatanog waterfall.
Kurvada cafe also has “function rooms” which also have a good view of the mountainside. These tables face the Malatanog waterfall too and each area can seat 10 people.
The waterfalls are a 30 minute hike from Kurvada Cafe. If you’re interested in hiking to the Malatanog Waterfall, You can ask Kurvada Cafe to set you up for your hike.
There’s a wide variety of food and stuff to try at Kurvada cafe. There’s breakfast “silog” meals, coffee and native food and dishes. We ordered a few to try.
The house specialty of Kurvada cafe is Linabug or Asian swamp eel. The eel is a freshwater eel that can be found in rice paddies, ditches and rivers in southeast Asia.
Kurvada Cafe has really good tasting eel! It’s a bit bony because they serve it unfilleted but the eel meat is rich and tasty. Delicious!
