Bok’s Restobar: A Garage themed bar and restaurant.

Bok’s Restobar in the Villa Angela Marketplace is a fun, garage themed bar and restaurant. It’s one of the places in the Marketplace that really stands out because of its decorations and its food.

You can easily find Bok’s restobar by taking the back road at the Villa Angela Marketplace.  Look for a two story bar with a motorcycle, parking stripes and a street sign as decorations!

At night Bok’s restobar becomes a lively place. People enjoy the live bands and the events.

The stage where the entertainers perform is decorated with car parts.

The owners of Bok’s restobar really went wild with their decorations. Outside they put up a street sign which doubles as their restaurant signage.  Beside the sign is a permanently parked vintage motorcycle for photo / selfie oportunities

The playful decorations are even present in ordinary things inside Bok’s restobar. Some tables and sinks are decorated with old tires and the faucets are repurposed fuel pump heads!  Very nice and impressive!

The second floor is quieter and has a big canopy tent for customers.  The second floor offers more privacy and is good for big barkadas who want to have a little space to hang out with their friends.

We like the food at Bok’s restobar. Most dishes are below or around the 150 peso mark which makes it quite cheap and affordable. Portion size is just okay. The assorted meals and snacks go well with beer and other drinks.

Bok’s restobar’s ultimate burger. A beef patty topped with cheese, cheese sauce, cucumbers and bacon.  Served with a side of french fries. A good deal at 155 php.

Bok’s Chicken Skin:  Actually, this not like any ordinary chicken skin pulutan – there are actually generous chunks of chicken in with it.  Pwede na sudanon! The vinegar is also very good – it’s sweet spicy and sourish and tastes great with anything! 85 php lang!

Bacon Cheese Fries: French fries with cheese sauce topped with fried, crumbled bacon. 135 php

Mozzarella sticks: Deep fried, breaded mozzarella sticks.  These actually had us thinking we were eating chicken strips.  Quite good for drinks and sharing. 150 php.

Pepper and garlic pork ribs: Savory Ribs that aren’t sweet like 99% of other ribs served in Bacolod. This dish has an excellent sauce. We love the crispy texture of the fried garlic and the savory taste of the pepper and tomato sauce. Try it with white rice. 125 php.

Pollo panna: Chicken in a white cream sauce.  A bit difficult to eat in a dimly lit area because the chicken has some bones.  It tastes creamy and overall not bad for its price at 165 php.

Try Bok’s restobar whenever you’re in the Villa Angela Marketplace and need a place to sit down and enjoy good, cheap food with your barkadas and family. Bok’s restobar also sells extremely delicious spiced vinegar so ask the lady behind the counter if you want to try some!
