Kapipat cafe in Bacolod City is where old school meets cool

We spent a delightful afternoon discovering Kapipat cafe. Housed in an old Pharmacy in Mansilingan and surrounded by trees, Kapipat cafe is one of the most laid back and charming coffee shops in Bacolod city.

Kapipat cafe is where old school meets cool. Having a coffee at the main counter feels just like hanging out at a sari sari store. 🤣 Locals just pop in to have a coffee and then go. 🌳Plenty of tall trees are all around the store, giving it a hidden and peaceful atmosphere.

The interior of Kapipat is simple and leans heavily onto the upcycled/vintage look. Planted aquascape tanks 🐠🌱💡make the spot pop with a dash of nature, water and lighting. Tables are repurposed from the owner’s grandparent’s bed and sewing machines.

The best seller of Kapipat is the 🍳☕ egg coffee – a really powerful blend of robusta and other coffee beans with some liberica. We also got a great non coffee option – Kapipat Cafe’s Lemon Yakult drink. 🍋🥤They also offer some snacks – we had some excellent empanadas with some homemade green mango chutney.

Take note of the signage – “We are not a fastfood spot”. Sit back, relax and enjoy your cup of coffee in a very unique and charming vintage coffee shop in Bacolod City.
