Inaka: Awesome Japanese Food in Bacolod City

Inaka Japanese Restaurant is Bacolod City’s first, oldest and best-loved Japanese restaurant, proudly serving customers for more than 30 years! While Bacolod has many great Japanese restaurants, Inaka stands out as one of the best.

What’s their secret? A commitment to quality!

Inaka Japanese Restaurant is located on Corner 21st and Lacson Streets Bacolod City, Negros Occidental Philippines.

Many of Inaka’s staff have been with the restaurant since the beginning, and it’s not unusual for senior waiters to remember your favorite orders if you’re a regular. 🍱🍣

For many locals, Inaka was where they tried sushi 🍣 for the very first time—a big deal back in the 1990s when sushi was rare in Bacolod. Back then, the idea of eating raw fish made many people squeamish!

Inaka Japanese Restaurant was also the place where Bacolod residents first discovered wasabi! 🌿 Its strong taste which burned your nose was quite a novelty and left a lasting impression!

Even today, Inaka remains a favorite spot for Japanese food lovers. Popular dishes include their Ebi Tempura 🍤, hearty ramen bowls 🍜, and the famous Inaka Beef Misono 🥩 and misono rice. 🍚

What’s our favorite Japanese dish at Inaka Japanese restaurant? The Ebi Tempura 🍤. We’ve tried tempura at many other Japanese restaurants, but Inaka’s is always the freshest and tastiest. A friend of ours swears by their Chicken Wakadori and Karaage, too. 🍗

Inaka Japanese Restaurant also has three function rooms with consumable food.

Inaka also has two grills/hibachi or teppan in case you want to dine in that way. There’s something comforting about watching someone cook you food!

I have fond memories of Inaka. We’ve been eating there for more than 15 years. We always order the California Maki and Beef Sukiyaki 🙂
