Maranao eatery is a stall in Plaza Mart Bacolod City that has Chicken Pastil, Tuna Pastil, Piaparan and many more Muslim Maranao dishes! Super delicious, spicy and healthy! But what are these dishes? Read more below!
Chicken Pastil – this is a dish made of shredded spicy chicken on a bed of steamed rice cooked with turmeric and wrapped in a Banana leaf. Only 30 PESOS – but it is super filling. This is the most POPULAR item at Maranao eatery.
Chicken Piaparan – This is the first time we’ve ever tried this dish – it’s Chicken cooked with curry, spices and dried COCONUT MEAT! Super tasty and healthy. Just 50 PESOS a serving! You can taste the Indonesian culinary influences in the food!
Badak – these are curried vegetables, jackfruit and other stuff all cooked up! ![]()

How to get here – Easiest way is to enter plaza mart through the dona manuela entrance (san juan street) and go straight until you reach the eateries. Best time to go is during lunchtime! They’re closed on Sundays!
