Cojo’s Big Bites: Golden oldies – good food and music.

Cojo’s big bites is a restaurant located in the very first part of Hi-strip near Lopues East. It is a ground level restaurant which makes it easily accessible.

Cojo’s is located at Hi strip! Come by and enjoy their food.

The restaurant is unique and fun because the owners seem to have raided their parent’s vinyl record collection! Thus so equipped with their loot – the owners proceeded to decorate the restaurant with them.  The restaurant plays oldies music over their sound system so fans of oldies and classic music will feel at home here.

A very distinct look.

The food is decently priced and has large portions.  Our favorite is the country fried steak.  It is basically very much like a schnitzel – flattened meat, breaded and fried. It comes with a side dish of roasted spiced corn on the cob.

Cojo’s country fried steak. Our absolute favorite on the menu.

Their back ribs are pretty good too!  It is quite generous in the serving size.

Cojo’s Back ribs. A winner. You can’t go wrong in ordering this dish!

We had their onion rings!  It is well done, not soggy or overly breaded or doused in batter.

Onion rings!

We highly recommend this restaurant but only IF they are not crowded or full.

My friend and I had eaten at Cojo’s for a couple of times and we really enjoyed the experience so my friend decided to have a special occasion dinner there.  However Cojo’s at that time was full and  they had problems keeping up with the orders.

For me, Cojo’s is a good restaurant.  The food is good but they still need to perfect their service.  I would still recommend Cojo’s to anyone looking for a good restaurant.  However to avoid delays in the food – their REALLY good food, I really would suggest avoiding the place when it is full.
