We first discovered the amazing spring rolls (lumpia) of CoCo Jen’s when my friend brought in a box of fresh lumpia to work.

Now I really dislike the usual fresh lumpia because they usual thing is always put hearts of palm (ubod) in it and really, it gets old fast. But CoCo Jen’s Chinese Lumpia is amazing! When i bit into it, there wasn’t the annoying ubod. Instead, there was ground peanuts – amazingly adding an addictive crunch and texture. In the place of ubod there was ground vegetables and to my surprise, I detected an umami taste – this taste is usually found in seaweed! It was so delicious, I didn’t even need sauce.
I scarfed down two lumpia in a twinkling of an eye and begged my friend to tell me where she bought this and this is how I came to CoCo Jen’s stall.

What else can I say? In a twinkling I bought four pieces – all to eat by myself. Really this is great stuff.

Check out CoCo Jen’s fresh lumpia!!
