Lil’s food adventures

The Bacolod Food hunters went out to try Lil’s food adventures, a new restaurant from the owner of Lil’s cupcakes.

Lil’s food adventures is right beside Lil’s cupcakes on the main Taculing road.  The restaurant is simple but it serves great roasted chicken (Three flavors!!) lechon and sandwiches!

Lil’s food adventures.. simple but functional! The steamy looking display counter holds freshly cooked chicken and buttered veggies!

The wonderful staff put up with our bickering with each other (we couldn’t settle on which flavor of chicken to try!) and they gave us a tiny piece of chicken from each flavor (Curry, pesto and chili) to taste.  We settled on the pesto.

We ordered their sandwiches  roasted chicken (pesto flavor), roasted pork and their house special, the long burger.  The server paused for a moment and asked us if we were going to eat them all at once in the restaurant.  We replied in the affirmative and wondered why he was so surprised.  When our order arrived, we discovered why..

The Sandwiches were HUGE… and we had ordered THREE of them at once along with some rolled lechon liempo!  We didn’t expect them to be THAT big.  It  looked like a fiesta at our table!  A doctor friend of mine (Dr. Rife) came in with her family for lunch and laughed when she saw what we had ordered.

Rolled lechon. This is so good! Ever bit of the meat is well seasoned and flavorful.

From left to right: Pork, long burger and the pesto chicken.  These are HALF of the sandwiches.  We asked them to cut the whole sandwich up and wrap up the rest because they were so big we couldn’t possibly eat all of it!

The excellent long burger (half pic)

Lil’s is a great place to stop by and have lunch.  Their prices are fair and you get a lot of food for your money!  Service is A++.

The sandwiches are 200-300 pesos but you can order Half a sandwich for 120-150. Half a sandwich is already a lot of food. for 120 pesos, roughly the price of a big value meal at mcdonalds, you can already have a nice big sandwich that is healthier and will fill you up more than McDo’s burgers.

Love your blog. I also like good food, especially when they are accessible. I have been a long-time reader of this blog. I decided to participate because I am trapped in a working environment where enjoying good food is not valued. Hmmm…lonely place I guess. Anyway, keep it up. I am a fan!
